Shenks Cupcheese Mild
|
Mild Cupcheese Shenks's Cup Cheese is a soft, spreadable cheese deeply rooted in "Pennsylvania Dutch" culinary history. It's heritage dates back to the immigration of the mennonites and amish to Pennsylvania in the late 1600's. A descendent of the german cheese koch kase, it became known as "cup cheese" because it was sold in a cup. In 1929 dairy farmer Clayton Shenk first produced cup cheese from the skim portion of milk to sell at market. Today, Shenk's naturally-ripened cup cheese is still made on the original farm property using all-natural ingredients. As always, it contains no additives or preservatives. Shenks Cup cheese is increasingly seen as a gormet specialty cheese which permits even those on restricted diets to enjoy its unique taste.
